Francesco Aceto ORCID:0000-0003-0904-4037 is Professor of Medieval Art History at the University of Naples Federico II. He is director of the Inter-University Center for the History of Campania in the Middle Ages. He is a specialist of Frederician and Angevin art, and has published important studies on Simone Martini, Tino di Camaino and Tuscan sculpture of the fourteenth century, and on the settings of the main Neapolitan medieval churches.
