Sabino Iliceto is Full Professor of Cardiology at the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular Sciences and Public Health of the University of Padua, and Chief of the Cardiology Division and School of Cardiology at the Padua University Civil Hospital. Since the beginning of his career, prof. Iliceto devoted much attention to the innovative aspects of Cardiology with reference to advanced diagnostic techniques, particularly in relation to the study of various aspects of ischemic heart disease. He has established several research collaborations with different European and American Universities and has been appointed principal investigator and steering committee member of several international multicenter clinical trials. He is the author of hundreds of full articles, most of which are published in prestigious international scientific journals. He cultivates strong interest in medical education, as well as in history of medicine as a fundamental perspective for understanding the basic problems and dilemma related to the medical sciences.
