The existence of baths along the Via Sublacense, near the intersection with the road to Affile, although widely presumed, has not been satisfactorily documented until now. The authors who have studied the area since the 19th century have not made sufficient mention of it. More information about the discovery of some structures during the construction of the Via Sublacense in the first half of the 19th century is provided by the documentation in the Record Office in Rome. The new material, besides providing information about the building, permits the baths to be located correctly on the ground even in the absence of preserved evident remains.
