This short paper represents an addition to the article published in this journal in 2002. The subject is the ceramic class with small glass-paste inserts, produced at Tibur between the late republican age and the first imperial age. The paper focuses on the large sanctuary of Hercules Victor at Tivoli, since some of the vessels bear the legend Ab Hercule Victore. Since the fabrics were located in the city and not within the sanctuary, it may be conjectured that the ceramic objects were acquired in the sacred place as reminders for a visit or as souvenirs, and then kept in the home, desposited in the tombs or dedicated as ex voto. Thus the legend Ab Hercule Victore refers not to a workshop but to the sanctuary itself and, in particular, to the period of building restoration in the Augustan age. The latest finds (especially from tombs) demonstrate that this particular ceramic class saw limited circulation, in an area extending from the ager Tiburtinus and the surroundings of Rome as far as Ostia.
