Il 'Portichetto' tuscanico presso il tempio di Bellona e la 'Via Trionfale'
In: Bullettino della Commissione Archeologica Comunale di Roma: 112, 2012
The so-called ‘Portichetto’ is a porticus standing around the temples of Bellona and Apollo.
We suppose that it was part of the system of porticoes, which went along a large road coming from the Circus Maximus, and going through or in the nearby of the porticus of Octavia and of the Circus Flaminius: we propose to identify the road with the via Triumphalis; as a confirmation, we take into consideration other porticoes built along the road, such as the porticus of Forum Olitorium. The proposed chronology has been fixed by comparing these porticoes with the architectonical ordines of the Theatre of Marcellus.
