Along the southwestern border of the archaeological area of Pompeii, a system of in-between spaces may be traced. These are unfinished residual spaces, public for the most part, situated between the strip of the infrastructures and the archaeological site. If one considers this space as a ‘border’, as an area of possible relations and connections, one may imagine it as a new reception space for the site and, at the same time, as the chance to requalify an urban area strategic for the development of the whole city.
