Trame di relazioni nei paesaggi archeologici : l'area di ingresso alle Terme Suburbane di Pompei
In: Storia della tecnica edilizia e restauro dei monumenti: 15, 2020
This essay focusses on the role of architectural and urban relations in archaeological landscapes, with specific reference to the entrance area to the Suburban Baths of Pompeii and to the topic of fruition and crossing of the landscape/park between Porta Marina Nuova and the ancient city. Planning a pattern of relations within a landscape means seeing architecture as a precise revelation of these links, through the creation of exploratory paths, narrational sequences, and novel ways of perceiving the space. A web of relations intended as a collection of routes, spaces, and archaeological fragments that, retraced and reconnected, may define a sequence of events, a story, an exploration of the landscape.
