The route below the Bourbonic mound is an important backbone of the systemic network of new connections of the Insula Occidentalis. Its natural and scenic features emerge above all in the stretch from Porta Marina to the vicinity of the Villa of Diomedes. From here, the vertical connections and ramps that reach out, overcoming the considerable differences in height of the ground level, represent crucial junctions for a broader fruition of both the Villa and the other routes that from there head towards via dei Sepolcri and the Villa dei Misteri.
