This paper presents the plan of the roman colony. The ancient settlement of Luceria was located on the same site as the modern town. The reconstruction of the perimeter of the walls is still rather uncertain. The most probable hypothesis is that it included the hills of Monte Albano, of Belvedere, and of Monte Sacro. Considering the orography, it is likely that the walls also contained the area later occupied by the amphitheatre, including the all hilly system, in line with the strategic reasoning of the historical moment when the colony was deducted: probably urbanization only occurred in the flatter central area, while allotting the hilltops for religious buildings. The urban plan, partly still visible in the modern road system, The central area had to have a regular organization with narrow and long blocks. Questo lavoro intende presentare la ricostruzione della colonia di Luceria, collocata nel sito della città moderna. La ricostruzione del circuito murario è ancora piuttosto incerta: le mura in opera quadrata dovevano cingere probabilmente le colline del Monte Albano del Belvedere e del Monte Sacro. È probabile che la pianificazione urbana interessasse solo la zona centrale più pianeggiante e che le alture fossero occupate da luoghi di culto, non diversamente da quanto documentato in altre colonie latine coeve. L’area centrale doveva presentare una organizzazione regolare con isolati stretti e lunghi. L’impianto in parte ancora leggibile nel tessuto stradale moderno, presenta due assi egemoni rintracciabili nell’attuale Corso Garibaldi e in quello perpendicolare costituito dalle vie Gramsci/Santa Lucia.
