Sebastiano Tusa, a Life for Archaeology
Sebastiano Tusa is a great man and a leading archaeologist, among the greatest protagonists of the underwater archaeology of the Mediterranean, as well as the father of Sicilian prehistoric archaeology.
He has worked in Sicily, Iran, Iraq, Malta, Pakistan, Japan, Tunisia and Libya. Sebastiano Tusa was the first archaeologist to identify precisely where a naval battle had taken place, that is, the location of the Battle of the Aegates Islands (241 BC).
