The project is set in a perspective of dialogue with the contemporary city, creating new touristic flows that will distribute the related benefits throughout the territory. The proposed restoration interventions, extraordinary and concentrated over time, have therefore constituted a design synthesis between the identified problems and potentialities, leveraging the latter to mitigate/cancel the former. The functions attributed to the Sepulcrete were also identified according to those compatible with its protection needs, since its use is highly effective on conservation over time, constituting a fundamental element of indirect protection. Consequently, the functions identified arose from the need to restore the ability of the ancient structure to communicate itself, what Brandi defines as the Epiphany of the artwork.
