Nuovi dati sul santuario di Campetti a Veio

The sanctuary of Campetti, discovered by Massimo Pallottino in 1938 and also excavated by the Gruppo Archeologico Romano (GAR) in 1969, has been the subject of two more- recent publications (Vagnetti 1971; Comella, Stefani 1990), particularly concerned with the votive objects excavated. We now have at our disposal the photographic documentation of the GAR excavation, which focussed on two particular contexts: a "votive cave" and a "ditch with jars " . The new images help explain the connections between the two contexts and between them and the structures that Pallottino had found earlier.
