Retour sur Marcus Fulvius Nobilior, le temple des Muses et la philosophia
In: Bullettino della Commissione Archeologica Comunale di Roma: 120, 2020
Ten years ago, the author of this paper dedicated the first chapter of his PhD to the relationship between Marcus Fulvius Nobilior, the aedes Musarum and philosophia. In this paper he returns to this topic, updating information and criticizing some of his previous views. The result, however, remains unchanged: Marcus Fulvius Nobilior did not have philosophical convictions. Nonetheless, with the help of Ennius, he used and combined philosophical dogmata as ornamenta designed to exalt and eternalize his own glory.
