The educational site in training the restorer specialist. Theory and methods of a multidisciplinary activity
Synthesis in the training of the specialist in architectural and landscape heritage, is the construction
site practice, which represents the summary of the theoretical training of the students of the School of
Specialization. The manual activity allows them to be directly acquainted with the methods and procedures
for approaching the knowledge of the site and the artifact on which they will intervene, knowledge that
embraces all phases of the restoration project: from direct and indirect investigations, to surveying metric
and material, to the analysis of degradation, according to the training acquired during frontal teaching
activities.
The relevant aspect is the restoration proposal that matures during the two weeks of work on site, during
which teaching, methodologies and intervention techniques are discussed, verified and put into practice
by students from Italian universities and esters, so as to allow them to approach the matter of restoration
with a direct and practical approach to the monument.
