This short paper concerns the three ceramic artefacts recovered during the first underwater investigations in the S. Felice-Treporti Channel, where the alleged Roman flagstones were discovered. The finds, dating back to different phases, are analyzed only in respect to the type-chronological aspects. Except for some considerations related to the state of preservation, the chronological gap existing among the artefacts and their scarceness require caution in formulating hypotheses about the function, especially in relation to the context of discovery. On this matter, every judgment is therefore suspended pending the clarifications that could certainly derive from the upcoming underwater tests.
