This contribution is part of the results produced during the research launched in 2017 on the columbarium located at the third mile of via Prenestina, at the corner of via Olevano Romano, in the archaeological park of Villa Gordiani. The columbarium, found after the Second World War during the urban development of the Prenestino-Labicano district, after the excavation was enclosed by a building that guaranteed the protection and conservation of the archaeological remains. By examining the archival documents kept at the Sovrintendenza Capitolina, the chronological sequence of the excavation operations and the analysis of the archaeological finds found inside in 1958 are reconstructed. This analysis is valuable for the interpretation of the ancient use of the columbarium.
